Hazel Marie Cole Charity Award

Last October 2003 in the library of the United World College of the Adriatic in Duino, the prizes to the memory of the late Hazel Marie Cole were given to 6 students, who attend the college this year and come from the developing countries. They have distinguished themselves for humanitarian acts in favour of people who need assistance and who are not self-sufficient.
The 6 students, who were awarded the scholarships, are: Sabelo Mndeni Lukhele (Swaziland), Kennedy Muni Maring (Sudan), Rita Udisho (Iraq), Tenzin Dolma Dulal (Nepal), Degen Mehari Tekhle (Sudan) and Noelia Esperanza Zeledon Arancibia (Nicaragua).
The rector of the College Marc Abrioux, the president Michela Zanetti, the chairman of the foundation "Premio alla Bontà Hazel Marie Cole Onlus" the Marquise Etta Carignani di Novoli and the secretary of the board of trustees Dr. Gesualdo Pianciamore were present at the ceremony.
