The third prize-giving of the year took place at the Association De Banfield
Charity Award and solidarity in the name of Hazel Marie Cole

Three acknowledgements to the kindest people who dedicate themselves to the others, in order to ease their pain. The prize-giving of the third area defined by the Foundation "Premio alla Bontą" in the name of Hazel Marie Cole took place at the Association De Banfield. Many Italian and foreign companies, European and American people, friends and individuals participated to the project of the Foundation wished by Hazel Marie Cole's husband, Aldo Pianciamore, and her daughter Donatella. Their intention was to institutionalise the generous and passionate charity gestures towards the community. This is the reason of the name of the award. By following Hazel Marie Cole's human and social commitment, the charity promotes charity for the community and people in need. There are three main areas of the Charity Award. The first area is for kindness and solidarity shown all over Italy by school children coming from the elementary and secondary schools proposed by their teachers to the Association "L'alunno pił buono d'Italia" (The kindest child in Italy). The second area is towards young students from underprivileged countries who win scholarships in the United World College of Duino. The third area is towards young people who continually help elderly people self-sufficient. As regards to the last area, during a simple ceremony, Etta Carignani, President of the Foundation, together with Hazel Marie Cole's husband and the President of the Association "Goffredo de Banfield" Mrs. Anna Illy, gave two prizes, for a total of two million lire, to Michela Tiengo and Giorgio Porcelluzzi who were chosen between many candidates in the field of local voluntary work as they particularly emerged for their help towards elderly people who are not self sufficient. The many initiatives promoted by the Foundation which aims at involving the community and at collecting funds have registered great interest and large participation. At the moment, there are various other initiatives being developed by the Foundation's Council.
